Who Are We?

The Queenstown Arts Centre is a non-profit organisation run by the Queenstown Arts Society.
​
The Queenstown Arts Society (QAS) is committed to growing and supporting visual arts in Tahuna/Queenstown. We do this through exhibitions, art classes, workshops, artist mentorship and support, artist studios and community outreach programmes.
 
For many years we have been based in the The Queenstown Arts Centre - a beautiful and soulful historic building in the heart of the Queenstown CBD.

2022 will see us expanding our community footprint as move beyond our Ballarat Street location - forging a new and brave path that goes well beyond the old school house we've occupied until now.

It's an exciting journey ahead - we hope you join us for an amazing creative adventure!

​We love welcoming new members to the QAS and having a large and active arts community to serve.

  • A voice as we transition from our current site and develop new and very exciting projects working with local providers in the Arts.
  • Discounted rate for solo exhibitions and gallery curated exhibitions in the Cloakroom Gallery.
  • Opportunity to exhibit at an annual members only exhibition, with no fee to submit.
  • Members have the option to promote their work and or art events via all our communication channels.
  • We offer discounts on selected classes and workshops and other charged events.
Our membership year runs from January 1st to December 31st each year, and is $30 for an adult membership, contact us to join up!

Volunteer
We couldn't keep our doors open without the hard work and dedication from our members and volunteers. We are always looking for appropriate volunteers to help sit our gallery and share our passion for the arts in our community.
