Trained as an architect in her home country, Chile, Denise has developed her art of Sacred Geometry by chance since 2014, before coming to live to New Zealand a friend asked if it was because of her love and knowledge of geometry and art that she could build these geometries. Not knowing at that time what these shapes were or what they meant or represent she started building up the geometries. She slowly started to get more and more commissions. A few months later in December 2015 when Denise landed in Queenstown with only a few tools she realized that there was a spiritual community who were very interested in her boards, Denise continued to develop her work here under a supportive artistic and wellbeing community. By this time she had already discovered the amount of history and the powerful meanings behind these geometries. Sacred geometry ascribes symbolic and sacred meanings to certain geometric shapes and certain geometric proportions. They are part of our world, of every living thing. They are found in our DNA and basically form part of the creation of everything -from an atom to the whole Universe. They represent our electromagnetic field and they can form sacred structures. The proportions, vibrational effect and harmony of these shapes are scientifically proven to activate certain parts of the brain, and on the spiritual realm, to generate healing. As a resident artist at the QAC she is exploring the infinite possibilities that Sacred Geometry can bring to art, architecture and wellbeing. Denise has been involved in various community events like Biophilia festival 2016 & 2019, Matariki celebration 2016 & 2017, LUMA 2019, EPIC living Summit 2020, by creating interactive Sacred Geometry art for all the family. At the moment she is creating commission work and is involved in different projects like the cover for a music album. |
