Established in 1981, the QAC is a vibrant community Arts Centre in the heart of Queenstown.
Housed in the old classrooms of the local high school on the corner of Ballarat and Stanley Streets the centre comprises the Cloakroom Gallery, Artist's Studios and a large hireable workroom. This is a unique venue for artists to create and exhibit their art and for art lovers to observe and share the creative experience.
The Cloakroom Gallery hosts monthly exhibitions throughout the year with diverse and interesting themes to give a fresh look to our visitors.
The artist's studios offer the opportunity to visit the artists in situ and talk to them about their current inspiration and creations, or indeed ask about renting a space to work in. Works by both Studio Artists and other local Artists are for sale and are displayed in the corridor gallery space.
The large workroom is available for hire and also hosts regular art classes.
The Queenstown Arts Centre is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers from the Queenstown Arts Society

We couldn't keep our doors open without the hard work and dedication from our members and volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers to help sit our gallery and share our passion for the arts in our community. If you would be interested in helping us out we would love to hear from you!
