The Studios at the Queenstown Arts Centre were set-up in response to the desire for local artists to have a space to develop their practice and their art.

At any one time we can have up to 11 artists working in their studios and visitors to the Arts Centre can enjoy the opportunity to see the artists creating their current works. There are many examples of the studio artist’s work on the corridor walls for you to view.We are always looking for new artists to join our creative space, as studio space becomes available.

We are a community pottery group of varied levels of experience. Any skill level is welcome.
Run on Wednesdays 6-8 pm. They are run on a voluntary basis by the members so don't expect lessons but we all have different skills and can give guidance according to our knowledge. Club night visits require a $10 donation to cover the cost of the clay provided. Non-members need to prepay for firing if you want any items fired; a minimum of $5 per piece, and dependant upon the size/ volume it takes to kiln.
How to become a member:
Potential members are required to come to a minimum of 5 club nights to get to know the club. After 5 visits you can apply to join and will need to pay an annual membership fee. You will then be given the door codes and can access the club when you like. Membership fees: $120 per year (beginning of April, or part thereof).
